solarcat: (Xmas -- Candy Canes)

Step One
- Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Harry/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real-life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

Step Two
- Surf around your friends list (or friend’s friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
- You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not - it's your call.
- There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

1.
Christmas fic!! Christmas fic is my favorite thing. I'm not even kidding. Especially the sweetly-angtsy variety where someone is going to have a bad Christmas and then somehow it gets SAVED and everyone is happy! Happy endings are a requirement. Any pairing, any fandom. I will learn about your fandom if you write me sweetly-angsty Christmas fic!! Or rec it to me! Recs lists of Christmas fic are also good! =D

2.
Art/Mixes/Whatever for ANY of my fics. I would love you forever. Doesn't have to be traditional forms of fanwork, either! Should you wish to make and photograph a snowman shaped like girl!Kevin Jonas or whatever, THAT IS TOTALLY LEGITMATE AND I WOULD LOVE YOU. <3

3.
TAI... and Jonas Brothers icons! Somehow this is my main fandom, and yet I have a depressing lack of icons. I have no Sisky or Butcher or even William! I have no Joe and/or Nick! This makes me sad. Icons would make me happy!

4.
Cookies. Yes, actual cookies; specifically, mint-chocolate and peanut butter chip cookies. They're like regular chocolate chip cookies, except made with mint chocolate chips and peanut butter chips, mixed together. I know it sounds weird, but they are my favorite kind of cookie in the WORLD. Unfortunately, I don't own a mixer, and my mother is disappointed at my life choices, so I'm pretty sure I won't be having them this year unless some wonderful elf out there has it in their heart to bake. (You can actually find the mint chips this time of year! =D )

5.
A copy of Indian Bunny by Ruth Bornstein. It's this little picture book that was originally published in the 1970s. I loved it when I was a kid, and it still gives me warm fuzzies to think about. Unfortunately, the copy I had was falling apart even back then. There's a new version called "Brave Bunny", but it's just not the same. It doesn't have to be a first edition or in mint condition, I would just really love a copy of Indian Bunny that's not more looseleaf than book.

6.
Gift cards to Lane Bryant, Target and/or WalMart. I don't know that this is necessarily a "wish", exactly, but my bras are both starting to fall apart in interesting ways (yes, I only own two; large-size bras are expensive and I am poor) and I could really use a couple bags of new socks, as a large percentage of mine are developing holes. Yes, I am actually asking for socks and underwear for Christmas. *sigh*

7.
U-Haul gift certificates. As many of you know, I am moving to Texas in May. It promises to be very awesome for me, but it's also pretty expensive, so any little bit helps. U-Haul gift certificates can be purchased online (at the U-Haul website) in amounts as low as $5, and emailed to the recipient (my email is solarcat05 @ yahoo . com). You get to choose the expiration date, too, so... well, expiring sometime after May 2011 would be good. But really, even $5 would be a huge help, and I'd really appreciate it. <3

8. - 10.
Numbers 8 through 10 don't exist. I've got a pretty short wishlist, honestly, and I would be over the moon to receive anything on it!

If you need my address for whatever reason, feel free to email me or comment and I'll get that info to you. <3
