DUDE IF THE DRAGON IS HIS FATHER/BROTHER/WHATEVER THAT MEANS THAT HIS MUM EITHER SHAGGED A DRAGON OR GAVE BIRTH TO ONE. EITHER OF THESE OPTIONS IS GROSS.

Gaaaaah, I clearly flailed in a way that is incomprehensible. No no no! Dragon not his father. That would be gross. >P

*makes vague hand motions* So see, I'm coming at this from where I've been reading Patricia Briggs' Hurog books (which, OMG, EPICALLY GAY in the most subtle ways; they're a slasher's DREAM BOOKS) where the dragons can take human forms, and there's this whole royal line that's technically descended from dragons and has super sekrit powers and my brain has totally mapped it onto Merlin but it WORKS. So that is where this theory comes from.

Cuz, y'know. Dragons. MAGIC. They can do magic things! Like look human! *makes more vague hand motions in a desperate effort to make herself make sense*

YOU TOTALLY DO NEED TO READ THEM. They are called Dragon Bones and Dragon Blood, and I wish there were more of them. Also, Oreg is my hero. Forever and ever. I <3 Oreg. He is simply amazing in every scene he's in.

...And, wow, is totally the Merlin to Ward's Arthur. Holy shit. Allowing my brain to map these two series onto each other is completely insane but in the GOOD WAY. 0____0

But anyway, yes. GAY. \0/ And het, too, but good het! And I swear to god, the books end with a perfectly acceptable m/m/f OT3 that MAKES ME GRIN EVERY TIME I THINK ABOUT IT. *flails happily*
